Vintage 2022
if you’re after a light Shiraz, this is not the red for you. It’s inky black and dripping with ripe blackberries, dark chocolate and liquorice underpinned by mocha and spice. The voluptuous, fleshy mouth-feel is laden with velvet smooth tannins and a long, dark chocolate, spicy mocha and vanillin oak aftertaste. If you’re keen to cellar, 4-5 years would do it justice. Perfect for your next barbecue or steak night.
Sam Kim 94 Points. Richly fruited and instantly appealing, the wine shows dark fruit intensity, game, star anise, cocoa and roasted nut aromas on the nose. The palate displays lovely concentration together with plump mouthfeel and fleshy texture, leading to a splendidly long, delectable finish. Wine Orbit4 October 2024
Ray Jordan 93 Points. This is a punchy and slightly more robust shiraz compared to the McLaren Vale wine from the same vintage. Concentrated plummy dark chocolate characters supported with a liberal amount of oak and fine firmish tannins. But it is smooth and almost velvety such is the palate balance that tends to conceal its power and concentration. Wine Orbit 2 August 2024
