Vintage 2017

Produced from grapes grown on their Glenkara Estate Vineyard in the Pyrenees Ranges. Matured for 18 months in American and French Hogsheads.

The 2017 Massoni Shiraz gives a complex mix of violet florals and blackcurrant characteristics on the nose. Longer ripening period and cool nights allow these floral characters to develop whilst maintain fruit concentration. The length of oak maturation underpins the aroma adding complexity and depth. In the glass the concentration of colour reflects the palate of the wine, typical of Massoni Shiraz. Blackcurrant and dark floral notes continue throughout the length of the palate with complex tannins to complete the mouthfeel. Ready to enjoy now or cellar for 5 to 10 years.

    Wine has the sign to be a very good wine but need more cellaring for another 3-5 years.

    I LOVE this wine the taste is fabulous and the after taste lasts. I've only heard of this wine in the last 2 years but I can't get enough of it, to the detriment of my wife.

    I found this Shiraz one of the best I’ve tried. It’s smooth with just a hint of after bite. Would recommend it to anyone.

    Picked a couple of these bottles up from OurCellar recently and its a great bottle. It is soft, approachable and full of fruit and a hint of vanilla in at the end of the palate. Highly recommend this wine.

    This is a beautiful,shiraz with 8 years of bottle aging and for $18 is an absolute bargain.It is soft and gentle to drink with an abundance of fruit flavor.
