A fluffy white mousse holds well over a very pale straw coloured base that has a fine bead flowing through it. Attractive pear and ripe apple aromas mix with hints of sherbet and quince. Mouth filling flavours of pear and apple carry a soft airy feel with subtle lemon sherbet and chalk characters lingering underneath. Finishes dry with refreshingly crisp acidity and a smooth fruity aftertaste.

Excellent as an aperitif. It goes well with fish marinated with delicate aromatic herbs and herb-based first courses.

    My wife and I recently spent 3 weeks in Europe where we drank quite a few nice Proseccos. Whilst we were waiting for our flight home from Marco Polo airport we sampled the La Gioiosa and concluded it was certainly the nicest of the many nice Proseccos we had enjoyed on our trip. On our return I contacted OurCellar to see if they could source it here. Within 24 hours the answer was YES. It is still the best Prosecco we have had so far.
