Vintage 2024
Eden Valley, South Australia.
Pale straw with green hues. Fragrant aromas of frangipani, white rose, almond blossom, lime leaf and white musk, with hints of jasmine and fresh herbs. The palate is intense and pure with flavours of lemon rind, lime and white stone fruit, balanced by fine mineral acidity and excellent length.
Stuart Knox 92 Points. Pale lime and lemon tones in the glass. Fragrant with white flowers, lime zest and chalk dust. Bright and fresh, zippy acidity lifts lemon and lime fruits across the tongue, hints of floral sweetness show towards the finish but a chalky grip ensures it has a clean and crisp end.
The Real Review. Dave Brookes 93 Points. Pale in the glass with a flash of green and unctuous aromas of freshly squeezed lime juice, Christmas lilies, Bickford's lime cordial, green apple sorbet, crushed stone, bath salts, orange blossom and stone. Crisp, dry and sporting a sizzling mineral line, I have to keep repeating to myself not to mention the riesling and value thing as it shines with use, but I mean really. This is a ripper.
Halliday Wine Companion 93 Points. A mild summer and warm and dry autumn have given birth to a Peggy’s Hill of gorgeous aromatics of pronounced lily fragrance and classic granny smith apple and lime profile. A richness to the palate hints at star fruit and kiwi fruit exoticism, with fine phenolic bite contributing structure to the finish. Tyson Stelzer’s Top 250 Australian Wines of 2024.
